A shallow magnitude 5.2 earthquake was reported around noon near Alotau, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea. According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake hit on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, at 12:04 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10 km.
